White Tigers need your help !
By: Cristal Solis Saenz ( period 6)
White Tigers are biggest in the cat family and occur after the breeding of two Bengal tigers with a recessive gene which causes them to have the strapped white coat. They can reach a length of 11 feet and can weigh up to about 660 pounds. During the last 100 years, merely 12 white tigers have been spotted in the wild in India ( 1 white tiger in every 10,00 normal pigmented tigers). One of the reasons that there is a little number of white Bengal tigers is because of us humans. Although they are protected all over the world, that doesn't stop the hunting of these beautiful tigers even if it's known as illegal. There are only about 200 white tigers left in the world. Soon there is going to be less and less white tigers in the world, until there is none. So when are we going to start fighting for their survival ? Until it's too late? I say we start today and make a difference for the future of white tigers !
