Tiger Cubs
A female tiger can have up to 5 cubs, the most common number of cubs is 2 to 3. Usually one cub dies while birth. The male tiger doesn't participate is raising the cubs. After 1-3 years of age the mother abandons her cubs and they begin to live on their own. Usually adult tigers like to live on their own except for the mother and her cubs of course. Tigers have their own territory which is about 10 to 30 miles depending on the amount of food and water available.

Different Types of Tiger Species and Coat Colors
There is 9 different types of tiger subspecies : Amur (Siberian) Tiger, Bengal Tiger, Indochinese Tiger, Malayan Tiger, South-China Tiger, Sumatran Tiger, Bali Tiger, Caspian Tiger, and Javan Tiger. There is 4 different color variations of tigers ( 2 pictures shown to the right ). They are not color mutations they are just normal color variations. |
